Thierry Dorval is a senior partner at the Montreal office of Norton Rose Fulbright. He is Chair of the firm’s governance and directors’ liability team. Mr. Dorval frequently reviews the governance policies and practices of Canadian corporations listed on both Canadian and US stock exchanges. He also regularly advises boards and management on directors’ and officers’ liability issues and independent committee deliberations.
 
Mr. Dorval sits on many boards of directors. He is one of the founding members of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Quebec Chapter. He is the author of the book Governance of Publicly Listed Corporations, published by LexisNexis, and many other publications. He earned a doctorate in law from the University of Ottawa for his thesis in the field of governance.
