We are privileged to have these distinguished leaders from Canada’s Director community lend their insights to the program. Their perspectives are particularly pertinent at a time when Canada’s economic position and standard of living are being challenged by changing geopolitical and economic forces both within and beyond our borders.


Nancy H.O. Lockhart

Nancy Lockhart is a corporate Director who currently sits on the boards of Loblaw Companies Limited, Atrium Mortgage Investment Corp and is Chair of the Board at Gluskin Sheff + Associates. Previously, Ms. Lockhart was a board member of Barrick Gold Corporation, Retirement Residence REIT and the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.

In addition to Ms. Lockhart’s public board memberships, she is a Director of the Royal Conservatory of Music and Chair of Emeritus of Crow’s Theatre. Ms. Lockhart is the former Chair of The Ontario Science Centre, former Chair of the Canadian Film Centre and a past President of the Canadian Club of Toronto. She is also a former Director of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Loran Scholars Foundation.




The Honourable Kevin Lynch

The Honourable Kevin Lynch has been Vice Chairman of BMO Financial Group since 2010. Prior to that, he served as Clerk of the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet, Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Industry and Executive Director for Canada at the International Monetary Fund.

Dr. Lynch Chairs the Board of Directors of SNC Lavalin and is a Director of CN Railway and CNOOC (China National Overseas Oil Company). Dr. Lynch is a Director of Communitech, the Governor General’s Rideau Hall Foundation and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada as well as a member of the Expert Advisory Group on Digitization and Innovation at the OECD and a member of the WEF Committee on Balancing Financial Stability, Innovation and Economic Growth.

Previously, Dr. Lynch served as Chair of the Board of the Ditchley Foundation of Canada and a Director of, the Accounting Standards Oversight Council, the Ontario Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee, the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, the Gairdner Foundation, the Perimeter Institute, the Bank of Canada, Empire (Sobeys), Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Business Development Bank of Canada, BMO China and the Cape Breton Development Corporation.




Kathleen Taylor

Kathleen (Katie) Taylor is Chair of the Board of RBC and Chair of the SickKids Foundation Board. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Hospital for Sick Children and Co-Chair of the SickKids Capital Campaign.

In addition, Ms. Taylor serves as a Director of Air Canada, Vice-Chair of the Adecco Group and a Director of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.

Ms. Taylor is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. During her 24-year career with the iconic global company, she held a number of senior leadership roles and was instrumental in building the firm’s global brand and its international portfolio of luxury properties.

Ms. Taylor has been inducted into the Canadian Marketing Hall of Legends and was named to Canada’s Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) after being honoured by WXN in 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2017. In 2016, Ms. Taylor was made a Member of the Order of Canada. Report on Business magazine named Ms. Taylor among the 50 most powerful people in Canadian Business in 2017. In 2020, she will chair the Governor General’s Leadership Conference (GGLC).
