About Us

The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) is a not-for-profit, member-based association with more than 13,500 members and a network of 11 chapters.

ICD members across all sectors of the economy oversee well in excess of $1-trillion in market capitalization and institutions that impact the lives of virtually every Canadian. Our purpose is to improve trust and confidence in Canadian organizations by developing and activating Directors.

The ICD is a founding member of an international collaboration of leading Director organizations – the Global Network of Director Institutes. Through this organization, we share expertise in corporate governance and professional Director development.

The ICD National Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala is one of Canada’s most influential business events. The conference provides insights on emerging governance issues inside and outside the boardroom to prepare Directors to lead their organizations to success.
