1. Who typically attends the ICD National Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala?
The primary audience for the conference is comprised of seasoned and emerging Directors, as well as C-Suite and senior executives who serve on Boards or aspire to do so. 

2. I want to attend the conference and pay the ICD member rate. Do I have to renew my membership?
Yes, in order to receive the member discount, you must be a member in good standing. Please renew your membership prior to registering for the conference.

3. Can non-members register for the 2020 ICD National Conference?
Yes, members and non-members can both register.  

4. Can I register a group?
Group ticket rates to the National Conference are not offered at this time. 
A table of 10 seats at the Fellowship Awards Gala can be purchased. To make a group purchase, please contact Francine Boateng at conference@icd.ca.

5. Can I register onsite?
Yes, onsite registrations will be accepted, however, as space is limited, we strongly recommend that you register in advance of the conference. 

6. I registered early but can no longer attend. Can I be reimbursed?
Cancellations must be received in writing by Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Cancellations received by this date will be eligible for a full refund. If you are unable to attend, delegate substitution is permitted up to, and including, the day of the National Conference. Please email conference@icd.ca with the replacement contact’s information.

7. Can anyone attend the pre-conference welcome reception?
Only registered conference delegates are invited to attend the welcome cocktail reception.

8. Will I receive continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the 2020 ICD National Conference?
Yes, you can earn up to 10 CEUs. Directors with the ICD.D designation are eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the following: ICD.D Luncheon (2 CEUs), National Conference (6 CEUs) and Fellowship Awards Gala (2 CEUs). 

The ICD National Conference may be eligible for CE credits with other professional designation bodies. We encourage you to check with the organizations where you hold membership.

9. Will each presentation be recorded?    
Unfortunately, full presentations will not be made available. 

10. Is seating assigned?
Seating is not assigned for the National Conference. At the Fellowship Awards Gala seating is assigned. Seating maps and assignment lists will be posted throughout the National Conference and at the registration desk for the Fellowship Awards Gala.

11. What is the dress code?
The dress code for the pre-conference welcome reception, ICD.D Luncheon and National Conference is business attire. The dress code for the gala is cocktail. 

12. Does the ICD offer a discounted rate to stay at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel?
Yes, the negotiated ICD guest room rate is $217 plus taxes. This special rate is subject to availability and will be available until April 27, 2020 or until the group room block has sold out. 13. Where can I see the list of conference attendees?
The ICD does not publish the list of attendees.

14. What is the ICD’s privacy policy?
Photographs will be taken at this event and photographs may be published in various media, including print and online, without further notice. If you have questions about the use of event photographs by the ICD, please contact ASmith@icd.ca
 
The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), its partners and event attendees may also post discussions, Tweets and pictures on various social media channels. We encourage event participants to engage in discussions via Twitter @ICDCanada and to include the hashtag #ICDConference2020. The ICD also regularly hosts events that operate under a modified Chatham House Rule – that is that contributions may be published but are not to be attributed to any individual speaker. Invitations to such events will explicitly state that the event is operating under such restrictions.

15. Are members of the media able to attend?
